AquaScan™
for Water Pipelines

PIPECARE AquaScan™ is a free-swimming acoustic sphere designed to detect leaks, air pockets, pressure disturbances, and anomalies inside water pipelines without shutdowns or excavation. Traveling naturally with the flow, AquaScan™ captures acoustic signatures that help utilities locate hidden leaks, reduce water loss, and support smarter asset management.

AquaScan acoustic sphere for water pipeline leak detection

How AquaScan™ Works

AquaScan™ moves freely inside the pipeline, recording pressure waves, acoustic energy, and flow-generated noise. When it passes a leak or structural defect, the device captures a distinct sound signature that is later processed into a detailed report.

What It Detects:
  • Pinhole leaks
  • Cracks & joint leaks
  • Air pockets
  • Pressure disturbances
  • Structural anomalies
Why Utilities Choose AquaScan™
  • Eliminates guesswork and unnecessary excavations
  • Finds leaks that surface inspections cannot detect
  • Prevents catastrophic failures in high-risk pipe materials
  • Reduces water loss and operating costs
  • Integrates with GIS and asset management systems
